NOTICES
HOLIDAY CLUB will run this year from Tuesday 10th April until Friday 13th April. Once again Tom King has agreed to run this event. We need three things:
Firstly Prayer!!! Secondly helpers and finally money. If you are able to contribute financially towards the running of the club, please see Claire Murray or David Phillips. All gifts of prayer, help and money will be gratefully received.
LADIES PRAYER BREAKFAST
We will be holding a Ladies Prayer Breakfast in church on Saturday 17th March from 8.30 - 11am. Cost £3. There will be time for food, fellowship, prayer and reflection, as well as an opportunity to explore our gifting and how we might use them more in our own lives and in our church.
All ladies aged 16+ welcome. Please see Tracy Phillips or Alison Norcross for more details.
COMMUNITY FUN DAY – Saturday 21st April
Sylvia Bouskill is helping to organise a community fun day for the North-West Police Benevolent Charity. If you have any unwanted books or gifts, children’s small toys or bric-a-brac that you would like to donate, there will be a box at the back of church or ring Chorley 271377 for collection.
For more information about this event please speak to Sylvia.
PASTORAL
Our Pastoral Co-ordinator is Joyce Ashton. If you know of people who are ill or housebound and would benefit from a visit please let Joyce know.
PRAYER
Our Prayer Co-ordinator is Ann Parker. If you have particular requests for prayer these can be passed on to Ann or any member of the Prayer Chain.
FOOD PARCELS
A few weeks ago Phil Parker spoke about providing assistance for people who are experiencing financial hardship at present, and who are finding it difficult to afford food. Phil and I have organised a scheme to provide such assistance. We are asking you to help by contributing items of food, e.g. tinned foods, tea, coffee, sugar, cereals, rice, pasta and long life milk. Tin openers and small pans would also be acceptable. Everything will be forwarded to “Help the Homeless” to be distributed by their organisation to people in need. There will be a box at the back of Church and we would be grateful if you would place your contributions in it. It is intended that the scheme will be a continuing operation, please speak to Phil or me if you have any queries.
Many thanks Margaret Mayor
